The office bearers of the newly reconstituted Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state committee will meet here for the first time on Monday in which leaders will be given the blue print of party’s strategy for the coming elections.
BJP spokesman Harish Chandra srivastava said that BJP state president Mahendra Nath Pandey has called the meeting on Monday at 1500 hours at the state party headquarters. The meeting will be addressed by state president and general secretary (organisation) Sunil Bansal, he said.
The new office bearers of the state BJP was announced on late Friday night and it is the first meeting after constitution of the committee.
The meeting is crucial as it will discuss on the coming by polls two Lok Sabha seats of Gorakhpur and Phulpur to be held on March 11.
Sources said the meeting will also entrust responsibility for the crucial 2019 LS polls and to decide on the date and venue for the state convention.
Meanwhile, party has also called a two day training camp of party Vistaraks in Jhansi on February 14 and 15. In-charge of BJP’s Vistarak’s scheme Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that around 180 Vistaraks would be trained about their social and political responsibility.
“This will be done with an aim to ensure that they are able to act as `Karmayogi’ and fulfill their responsibility towards the party,” Pathak said in a statement issued here on Sunday.
The last training camp of the Vistaraks was help in Naimisaranya in Sitapur.
Pathak said that inaugural session of the training camp will be addressed by party’s organizing secretary Sunil Bansal while party’s state president Mahendra Nath Pandey will be the chief guest of the valedictory function.
“The BJP believes in the principles of Deen Dayal Upadhaya which stresses on the development of the downtrodden and poor. The Vistaraks work on this principle and are dedicated to the nation building,” BJP leader said.
