SSC scientific assistant 2017 result today, here’s how to check yours
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to release on Tuesday the result of the written examination to recruit Scientific Assistant in India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to release on Tuesday the result of the written examination to recruit Scientific Assistant in India Meteorological Department (IMD). The examination was held from November 22 to November 25, 2017. The commission had released a notification on January 31, confirming that the Scientific Assistant written exam result will be declared on February 13, 2018.
Steps to check the result (after they are declared):
1) Visit the official website of SSC at ssc.nic.in
2) Click on the link for Scientific Assistant in IMD Examination 2017 result in the latest news section
3) A pdf page containing the link for result and write-up on the exam will appear
4) Click on the link to go to the result page
Scheme of examination:
The examination comprises 200 questions carrying 200 marks for two hours duration. The question paper has two parts, Part - I and Part - II.
Part 1 is divided into four parts carrying 25 marks each. The four parts are: General Intelligence and Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness.
Part II carries 100 marks for 100 questions from Physics, Computer Science and Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in both the Parts.
The Commission will prepare the category-wise merit list and hand it over to India Meteorological Department, which would declare the final result.
