MTS enters event ticketing market with new acquisitions

Russian  mobile operator MTS has fully acquired MDTZK, operating under the Ticketland.ru brand. The operator has also acquired a 78.2 percent stake in Kulturnaya Sluzhba, working under the Ponominalu.ru brand. The companies are the leading players in the Russian event ticketing industry; the acquisitions will enable MTS to enter this market segment.

The deals are worth a total RUB 3.25 billion. MTS has received all the necessary corporate and regulatory approval for the acquisitions.
