A couple allegedly committed suicide today in Andhra Pradesh's Krishna district due to their financial problems, police said. The 27-year-old man, who worked as an autorickshaw driver, and his 24-year-old wife, who was around six months' pregnant, hanged themselves from the ceiling at a room at their house in Pallerlamudi village, Nuzvid circle inspector M Ramkumar said. He said the woman used to work as a teacher at an aanganwadi, the government-run women and child care centre. The couple, who got married about year back, had been facing some financial problems and also had domestic disputes, the police official said. A case was registered at the Nuzvid rural police station, he said, adding that an investigation was on into the incident.
