Coimbatore: RK Nagar MLA TTV Dhinakaran on Sunday condemned the state government for not according priority to the candidates, who have cleared the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) held in 2013 in the appointments to government schools.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Dhinakaran alleged that 94,000 candidates, who cleared the exam in 2013, were not considered for appointments to government schools in spite of the fact that the validity of the test was only for seven years.

Pointing out that the state government had on January 29 announced to issue an order assuring that priority would be given to those who have cleared the TET in 2013, Dhinakaran said, "Such a government order is yet to be issued." TNN
