The makers of actor Nithiin's 25th film today unveiled the first look posters and officially announced the title as Chal Mohan Ranga. The teaser of the movie will be unveiled on the occasion of Valentine's Day on 14 February and the film is slated to hit screens on 5 April. Directed by lyricist-turned-filmmaker Krishna Chaitanya of Rowdy Fellow fame, Chal Mohan Ranga is jointly produced by Trivikram Srinivas, Pawan Kalyan's home banner PK Creative Works and Nithiin's home banner Sreshth Movies, which is currently looked after by his sister Nikitha Reddy.

Chal Mohan Ranga features actress Megha Akash as the lead heroine, marking her second consecutive film opposite Nithiin in Tollywood following their previous outing LIE, which bombed at the box-office. Although Megha made her debut in Tamil with Gautham Menon's romantic thriller Enai Nokki Paayum Thota, where she co-stars with Dhanush, the shooting of the long-in-the-making film is yet to be completed. Her other Tamil film, Oru Pakka Kathai, directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan has been in the post-production for a long time.

Extensively shot in the US, Chal Mohan Ranga has cinematography by Natarajan Subramaniam. The music for the film is composed by SS Thaman. Rao Ramesh, Naresh, Pragati, Narra Srinu, Srinivasa Reddy, Sanjay Swaroop, and Madhu form the supporting cast. Key scenes of the film have also been shot in Ooty and Hyderabad.

Billed as a family entertainer with a good mix of romance and emotions, the story of Chal Mohan Ranga is penned by Trivikram, who delivered a super-hit with Nithiin and Samantha in 2016 rom-com A Aa. Following the box-office debacle of Trivikram-Pawan Kalyan's Agnyaathavaasi, the trade is eagerly waiting to see Trivikram's comeback as a writer in Chal Mohan Ranga, whose post-production work is progressing at a brisk pace.

Nithiin is expected to start shooting for his next project Srinivasa Kalyanam, where he reunites with veteran producer Dil Raju after a hiatus of 14 years, from March. The duo had collaborated together in the VV Vinayak-directed 2003 film Dil, which set the cash registers ringing at the box-office. Srinivasa Kalyanam will be directed by Satish Vegesna, best known for helming the family drama Shatamanam Bhavati which won the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment award at the 64th National Film Awards. Mickey J Meyer has been signed to compose the music for the project.
