Kuwait Amir's auspices of exhibitions contributes to 2035 vision - Min.

(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Feb 10 (KUNA) -- Minister of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al-Roudhan thanked His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for partonizing Kuwait Expo, which would help transform Kuwait into a financial and economic hub in line with His Highness the Amir's 2035 new Kuwait vision.

Al-Roudhan, in a statement to reporters at the conclusion of Kuwait Expo 2018 on Saturday, said organizers of the event would organize a better Expo next year.

"We have a special foreign trade activity, we have many plans and strategies ... and there is a bundle of economic laws and resolutions that will promote the vision to make Kuwait a financial and economic hub," Al-Roudhan, also Minister of State for Youth, said.

Al-Roudhan addressed the conclusion ceremony of Kuwait Expo 2018, saying the country would organize future exhibitions aimed at highlighting Kuwait's commercial, economic and cultural leadership.

This is part of a comprehensive strategy to push economic growth and build investment partnerships with countries of the world, he added.

Al-Roudhan said the fact Kuwait Expo featured participation of 30 countries, 77 international companies and 60 local firms reflected confidence in Kuwait economic environment.

Kuwait, noted Al-Roudhan, has advanced infrastructure, active private sector, cash flow and attractive legislation for local and international investors.

Exhibitions, he said, were catalysts for tourism and trade, and were bridge to cultures and sustainable development.

He also said a conference for the reconstruction of Iraq would be a lucrative venue for the private sector. (end) osj.bs
