(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) Marcelo Cirino scored the match-winner as Al Nasr came away from Rashid bin Saeed Stadium with a valuable 1-0 victory over Ajman in matchweek 16 of the Arabian Gulf League.

The third consecutive victory took Al Nasr's tally to 26 points in fourth place while a second consecutive loss for Ajman keeps them seventh in the table.

Both sides failed to pose a serious threat on target throughout the first half, with only a couple of shy attempts that mounted to nothing, most notably an Ajman counter-attack that was wasted as three players broke free behind Al Nasr backline.

The Blues finally broke the deadlock with 15 minutes to go when Marcelo Cirino latched onto a Khalifa Mubarak cross-field pass to fire on the half-volley, leaving goalkeeper helpless to save.
