The Congress saw a larger conspiracy behind IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao’s sudden outburst against the party and accused him of trying to impress Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief spokesperson Sravan Dasoju said that using objectionable words against the Congress party was to divert people’s attention from the injustice done to Telangana State in Union budget. “The comments were not spontaneous, but part of a well-hatched conspiracy of TRS-BJP secret combine,” he said.
He said despite the Prime Minister passing ridiculous comments on Telangana formation in Parliament, the TRS MPs did not protest. He alleged that KCR was afraid of Mr. Modi as he might unleash the CBI against him in Sahara Group and other cases.
Mr. Sravan said TDP members stalled the Parliament against the injustice meted out to them despite the party being an ally of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) but the TRS MPs were nowhere seen questioning the unkept promises like rail coach factory, AIIMS, IIM and Bayyaram steel plant.
He said that although Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha raised the issue of Special Status for Andhra Pradesh, she failed to highlight the injustices being done to Telangana by the Centre since the last four years. He said the BJP government had allocated just ₹1,000 crore while the State Government sent proposals worth ₹ 40,000 crore. He challenged TRS to come for an open debate on budget at the Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial Park.
Calling KTR a master conspirator, he alleged that when someone searches the word ‘kutra’ in Telugu on Google, KTR’s image appears on top. He said this apparently in response to KTR’s ‘pappu’ comments on Rahul Gandhi.
