‘Panache 2018’ concludes on high note

The annual college fest of Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) ‘PANACHE-2018’ concluded on Saturday on a high note. The programme started with a battle of the artists for winning the title of the best dress makers using best out of waste. The participants were judged under the three criteria- Creativity, Presentation and Overall Getup. Skit competition was the second event held on closing day where the participants presented a show based on ‘College Life’.

The final day of the fest, a sport event of FUTSAL, a game similar to that of football was organized. A total of six teams participated including a team from Amity, Ranchi. The teams who participated were Z Warriors, Finance-1, Golden-Bulls, Bangla Barood and Amity. The first match for the event was between Z Warriors and Finance-1. In which Z warriors defeated Finance-1 by 2-0. The final match for the day was between XISS and Amity in which XISS team won by 1-0.

A creative ad-making competition was organised by the students of Marketing and HRM. A total of 7 teams participated in this event comprising of students from different branches of XISS. A total of three rounds were conducted to select the winning team.

First being an ad-video making round, in the second round the participants had to market a coffee and finally in the last round the participants were given a prop which they had to sale out. Also, events like ‘Walk the Ramp’ competition and DJ performance received much applaud from the audiences like the other events.

The three day- event was titled ‘Comic-con’ that refers to an international, multi-genre entertainment and comic convention held annually in San Diego, California, USA. Along with the students, faculty members also participated in a few events raising the competition level this year.

The annual cultural fiesta registered the participation of more than 500 students from the five branches of management courses showcasing wholesome entertainment while covering different activity areas. Students of both the year gave the glimpse of their talents in different artistic genres through this platform. The annual programme is organized on the campus premises of the institute beginning with the Ran-O-Thon.
