'Manikarnika' true to history, producer tells Brahmin body

JAIPUR: Putting the controversy surrounding Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' to rest, producer Kamal Jain assured Sarva Brahmin Mahasaba that there is no romantic song or sequence showing Rani Lakshmibai with an English man in the movie.

He said the film was not based on Jaishree Misra's book 'Rani', as speculated by the Mahasabha and others.
