Portugal internet speed averages 55 Mbps, Vodafone fastest

The average internet speed in Portugal is 55 Mbps, but there is a general drop in the quality of service at all operators in the evenings from 17:00 to 22:00 hours, according to more than 100,000 tests carried out in the last half of 2017 through nPerf meters. 

The data also shows a wide range of upload speeds across ISPs, with an average of 29 Mbps. While Vodafone Portugal offered its customers an average of 45.55 Mbps, Nowo provided only 8.44 Mbps and Nos 11.03 Mbps. 

In download speeds, Vodafone stood out from other players in the market, with average download speeds of 63.44 Mbps, while Nos had the lowest average download speed (47.78 Mbps), influenced by the high number of ADSL connections. 

The analysis did not take into account business or mobile connections (2G, 3G, 4G).
