ITC proposes investment worth over Rs 1,100 crore in UP

Ahead of the ‘UP Investors Summit in Lucknow later this month, Chief Minister Yogi Adiyanath met Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ITC Sanjeev Puri on Saturday and discussed investment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh. 

Interacting with Puri at his Kali Das Marg residence, Yogi asked the CEO to invest Rs 1100 crore on consumer food products, green energy, and setting up of Logistic Hub in Ghaziabad. 

Yogi informed the CEO that the state government was facilitating all help to promote business investments under `Ease of Doing Business’ policy of his government. He said that to set up industries, the government had forwarded all help to investors and invited Puri to attend the UP Investors Summit on February 21-22. Later, hailing the investment promotion and industrial development policies of the state government, Puri showed his interest in spreading business in the state. Besides Yogi and Puri, the meeting was also attended by Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner Anoop Chandra Pandey.
