Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter are all set to make their Bollywood debut in Karan Johar‘s Dhadak, which happens to be the popular Marathi film, Sairat‘s Hindi remake. We all took an instant liking to this fresh couple seeing the first look posters of the film. To say that they look good together is an understatement. Their chemistry is so palpable that rumours of them dating have been doing the rounds for the longest time. Seeing them romance each other on screen, is in itself an incentive to go watch the film, don’t you think? Anyway, you’d be surprised to know, that not just us but even Katrina Kaif, is of a similar opinion. During a recent interaction with Hindustan Times, Katrina spoke about how good the young couple looks on screen and that she considers it her responsibility to encourage new talents in the industry, with her favourite being Janhvi and Ishaan.
Speaking to the leading daily about how much she admires them, Katrina said, “Today, I can’t seek to be where I used to be at one point because that’s not my age anymore. Today, if you are making Dhadak with Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, I can’t be cast in that film and it (casting me in the film) won’t be correct either. When I see the two of them together, they look so lovely and sweet. And I feel really happy”. Furthermore, she believes that every actor has his/her own USP. She said, “All my peers and colleagues have been in the film industry for some time now. So, in the audience’s eyes, we all have our own places and unique identities. Meanwhile, on the professional front, Katrina’s last film, Tiger Zinda Hai, along with ex-beau Salman Khan was a blockbuster hit, and the perfect end to the year, which was otherwise quite lackluster as far as Bollywood is concerned. Next, she will be seen in Thugs of Hindostan, with Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Amitabh Bachchan, apart from Zero, where she will be seen sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma.
