It was a show of creativity in various fields at Aroma, the 17th annual day celebrations of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, held at Gurajada Kalakshetram on Saturday.
The evening began with an art exhibition of ceramic models by the students of classes 6 to 10. A team of students and teachers from Thailand, who were here for an education conference, went around the art exhibition and interacted with students. Cultural programmes such as classical dance and songs were performed by the students.
This was followed by a Thai dance performance by students from Thailand.
The other highlights of the evening included a yoga asana presentation depicting ‘Jal Deep’ by a team of students, fusion of folk dances, a mime on the effects of cell phone, a western dance performance and a patriotic dance performance.
The annual report was presented by school alumnus Abhishek Pattjoshi, applications engineer, Oracle, Hyderabad. Prizes were given away to winners of quiz competition. On the occasion, noted theatre personality Meegada Ramalinga Swamy and ceramic sculptor Vinod Daroz were felicitated. School director Chitturi Vasu Prakash presented mementos to guests.
