(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Muscat- Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed bin Nassir al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, will grace the honouring ceremony of the winners of the Sultan Qaboos Award for Industrial Excellence 2017-18 on Sunday at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Sultan Qaboos Award for Industrial Excellence is organised every two years with the aim of contributing to the development of Omani industry. In this edition, 19 industrial establishments from across the country are participating.

The award evaluates establishments on the basis of leadership, production process, manufacturing process, customer relationship, employee safety, work environment, contribution to social responsibility and innovation in manufacturing operations, as well as financial performance of the plant and the marketing of products. An exhibition will be organised, comprising 19 companies that are taking part in the award with the participation of Industrial Innovation Centre and Sohar University.
