Indian Farmers Association meeting held

Ujjain: The meeting of the regional office-bearers of Indian Farmers Association was held at the association office on Saturday. In the meeting, the association’s Malwa region demanded that Madhya Pradesh government add bonus to the support price in the upcoming rabi crop and buy wheat at a price of Rs 2000 per quintal, failing which, the association would protest against the government.

Regional president Kamal Singh Anjana, regional general secretary Dinesh Patidar, divisional organisation minister Chandrashekhar Raghuvanshi, regional spokesman Bharat Singh Bais and regional executive members were present in the meeting. According to Bais, the government will organise a ‘kisan sammelan’ on May 12. It will be demanded from the government that an announcement for wheat procurement by adding bonuses should be made in this convention, he added.
