Coming in to chase 138, Australia once again had a terrible start with David Willey dismissing skipper David Warner in the first over. Chris Lynn launched a fiery counterattack with Darcy Short joining him soon afterwards. Lynn was dismissed by his namesake Chris Jordan for 31 as he flew one in the air which was comfortably taken by Jos Buttler. Maxwell was dismissed by Chris Jordan for 39 and it was the first time he was dismissed in this series. Aaron Finch hammered 20 runs in 5 balls, hammering two back-to-back sixes to take Australia to a 7-wicket victory. England came in to bat with Jos Buttler took the captaincy role and James Vince was brought into the playing XI. Billy Stanlake struck quickly, dismissing Alex Hales with Aaron Finch taking a brilliant judgment catch. Kane Richardson dismissed the dangerous Jason Roy in the next over as both the openers depart early. Australia’s brilliant fielding effort led to Dawid Malan being run out, with David Warner making a direct hit. Andrew Tye dismissed James Vince for 21 with a terrific slow yorker. Sam Billings played a small cameo before he was dismissed by Billy Stanlake. Kane Richardson dismissed David Willey in the last over. Jos Buttler departed for 46 on the last ball.
