India will have to wait to confirm their first series win in South Africa. The Proteas dished out an inspiring performance in the 4th ODI to beat India by 5 wickets (DLS) method in a rain-affected match. Chasing a revised target of 202 from 28 overs, South Africa were in trouble when they lost 4 wickets and then David Miller but that was called a no-ball. Then Miller and Klaasen stitched together a 72-run stand before Phehlukwayo’s cameo (23 off 5) finished the game for South Africa. India played their 50 overs and posted 289 for 7. Once 300 looked easy when Kohli (75) and Dhawan (109) were batting together but both fell either side of a rain break and India managed only 89 runs in the final 15.4 overs to finish a little low.

    Virat Kohli speaks

"South Africa pulled through and they played better. We didn't deserve to win. I think after the break when Shikhar and Jinx came back, it was not the same. They did not settle well. The ball was a bit wet, not too wet, our spinners got a bit of turn, they improvised and it came off. You cannot be too harsh on the boys for no-balls as they try their best"

South Africa are unbeaten in Pink ODIs

This is a wonderful win for South Africa. They should take a lot of heart from this. They are unbeaten in Pink ODIs and this is Adiem Markram's first win as the captain. He is pumped in the dressing room. This is the game they need to bounce back in the series. This can have a big effect on the series with AB coming back. India would think they had this under control but let it go

    South Africa win!

Phehlukwayo finishes things off in style with a six! South Africa by 5 wickets (DLS) and keep this series alive. They are still unbeaten in Pink ODIs at Wanderers! Phehlukwayo turns it around with the cameo. Not the day for India's wrist spinners. This series is still alive with India leading it 3-1 but two matches to go.

WICKET! David Miller LBW b Yuzvendra Chahal 39

A twist in the tale! Miller is not happy as the umpire gives adjudges him LBW! But there is no review left for South Africa. Virat Kohli is pumped. The ball pitched on the middle and is turning slightly back into Miller. Replays show it would have hit leg-stump

  6. 1:20AM
    11 Feb, 18
    Economical Bumrah!

A misfield off his first ball gave South Africa a four, but Bumrah gave only three runs off the next 5 balls. Seven in total. South Africa need 35 runs from 30 balls. Six wickets in hand

  7. 1:14AM
    11 Feb, 18
    What happened there?!

What an over that was for South Africa! Chahal would be kicking himself. A dot ball but then he bowled a wide. A ball that was put away for four from outside the second wide mark. A dot ball but that is a no-ball. Free-hit is gone for a humungous straight six! South Africa need 43 off 36 now!

  8. 1:08AM
    11 Feb, 18
    16 runs from the over

Miller with a massive six, Klaasen with a reverse sweep for four, a three and a misfield. 16 runs off that Kuldeep Yadav over and South Africa will be more than happy about that. They need 57 off 42 balls

  9. 1:03AM
    11 Feb, 18
    20 overs bowled

This match has become interesting with Miller's attack. South Africa 129 are for the loss of four wickets after 20 overs. Miller and Klaasen at the crease. Morris to follow. They need 73 more runs from 48 balls.

    Miller attacks!

    MILLER BOWLED OFF A NO-BALL!

WICKET! Chahal with a flighted delivery to rattle Miller's stumps! Half of the South Africa team back in the hut.  Brilliant delivery from Chahal. Wait... NO-BALL from Chahal. Whoa! That is a lucky one for Miller. He will come back as Chahal has over-stepped.

    Miller catch dropped

DROPPED! Shreyas Iyer won't be happy with that effort. Miller sweeps Chahal and it flies straight to deep square-leg where Iyer just had to hold the catch. Pops out

WICKET! AB de Villiers c Rohit Sharma b Hardik Pandya 26

AB is gone! There will no AB show in Johannesburg today. Hardik Pandya celebrates wildly and so does his captain Kohli. Slower off-cutter down the leg-side to which AB smashes but hits it straight to fine-leg where Rohit takes a simple catch

    11 Feb, 18
    AB gets going!

6 and 6! AB de Villiers takes on Yuzvendra Chahal. Back-to-back sixes for AB! Chahal has been put under pressure in his first over itself. South Africa need 102 runs from 72 balls

  15. 12:33AM
    11 Feb, 18
WICKET! Hashim Amla c Bhuvneshwar Kumar b Kuldeep Yada 33

Brilliant thinking from Bhuvneshwar to take a relay catch at the boundary. Kuldeep has his second wicket and it is the big wicket of Hashim Amla. Flighted delivery and Amla steps down to play it over long on. Bhuvi positions himself at the ropes and jumps to catch. He lands on one foot and then sees the ropes behind him. Throws the ball in air, gathers his balance again and completes the catch easily

  16. 12:31AM
    11 Feb, 18

India have got the wicket. South Africa's good start has been halted as they are now 43 for 1. The ball angled in sharply and it hit his back leg. Bumrah and India were convinced and so was the umpire. Amla asked his captain to review but it was plumb.

    India post 289/7

Once 300 looked achievable for India but then came the lightning break and India lost track. Since that break, India played 15.4 overs but scored only 89 runs and lost 5 wickets. Dhoni provided some boundaries but will this total be enough?

    Final over

First ball: Full delivery from Morris and Dhoni has sent it straight through covers. Four!

Second ball: Yorker from Morris. Dhoni cannot hit it. Morris is appealing for a catch off Dhoni's boot. Umpires going upstairs but it has hit the pitch before hitting the boot

Third ball: WICKET! Dhoni cannot get a full-toss away and hits it to long-on. Wants two. Bhuvneshwar comes back for the second but will be short at non-striker's end

Fourth ball: FOUR! Slower short ball from Morris but a fierce but from Dhoni. Four

Fifth ball: Two runs. Dhoni with a powerful shot towards square-leg. Cut-off at the ropes. Dhoni comes back for a tight double

Sixth ball: Single. Another powerful shot from Dhoni but straight to cover fielder. Only a single and India finish with 289 for 7.
