The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) on Friday issued a clarification over the upper age limit in the recently held railway recruitment, said media reports.
The RRB, according to NDTV, said that the upper age limit set for the posts of assistant loco pilot and technician is 27 years. The upper age limit for OBC candidates is 30 years and SC/ ST is 32 years.

On Tuesday, NDTV had reported that the board had reduced the upper age limit to 28 years for assistant loco pilot and technician posts.
On Monday, the RRB had begun inviting applications for the 26,502 posts of assistant loco pilot and technician. The board had asked interested candidates to apply on or before 5 March on RRB's official website.
Candidates who have completed matriculation with ITI or diploma of engineering can apply for the vacancies. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in a computer based test (CBT) in two stages.
Meanwhile, the recruitment process for 62, 907 vacancies in Railway Group D started from Saturday on the official website of Indian Railways – indianrailways.gov.in, News18 reported. Class 10th passed individuals with or without ITI are eligible to apply for these vacancies.
Selected candidates will be placed at Level 1 of 7th Central Pay Commision Pay Matrix.
Interested candidates can apply on or before 12 March 2018 on their respective region’s RRB website, said the News18 report.
