Congress senior leader Marri Sashidhar Reddy charged the government with deleting names from voter list in areas where Congress party was strong and said it was being done in view of the forthcoming panchayat elections. He along former MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy told media here on Friday.
, Mr. Sashidhar Reddy said that about 15 lakh votes were removed before the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections and now about 21 lakh voters were removed from the voters list for different reasons.
He said that name of the every eligible voter must be there in the voters list for fair elections. He has called upon the party workers to participate in the camp being held by the officials for corrections on February 11th and see that all the names of the eligible be retained in the list.
