Minister of State for Home Pradipsinh Jadeja was a special guest. America's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and United Kingdom's investigative agency representatives were also invited as speakers in this conference.
The two-day conference also witnessed the inauguration of first ever Center for Spoken Sanskrit by Rajnath Singh. Pradipsinh Jadeja in his speech expressed his gratitude towards Central government for granting an aid of ₹300 crore to the state.

He also thanked Singh for permitting the Marine Police Training & Research Institute to be set up in Devbhoomi Dwarka. Further, he spoke about the noticeable contribution done by Forensic Science University Director, Dr. J.M. Vyas.
The occasion also witnessed five distinguished contributors of Forensic Science Department being presented with awards.
Union Minister Singh who was present at the program denied to speak about the fidayeen attack at Sunjwan Army camp in Jammu citing the sensitivity of the issue.
Singh who was initially reluctant to attend the conference because of the on-going operations in J&K took part in the session and following the operations in Jammu.
Despite his aversion to provide details on the on-going terror attack, Singh reiterated that the operations are being taken care of by the police forces and Army.
