It’s a double bonanza for Dhanush fans! We have not just been treated to a poster from his Hollywood debut but also a one-minute promo! The teaser opens with Dhanush introducing himself asAjatashatru Lavash Patel and the cards chance has dealt him. Simply it’s the story of a boy who stays in a small part of Mumbai.Post his mother’s demise he sets out on a journey to look for his father and this journey takes him around the world. From the looks of the promo, Ken Scott promises one thing – an unforgettable journey where Dhanush, Berenice, Barkhad Abdi, Abel Jafri and Erin Moriarty shine! The film seems to be colourful, adventurous filled with fun-filled moments. Ken Scott himself confesses that it has been ‘inspiring for him to work with Dhanush and other actors and that he has tried to bring out the best in every actor.
For those who don’t know, Dhanush’s Hollywood debut is based on the novel written by Romain Puertolas, titled – The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir who got trapped in an IKEA cupboard. Yes, a cupboard with world stamps stuck on it plays an important role in this film. In fact, we even see Dhanush stepping out of it, semi-nude, in the promo. The still that released earlier saw the actor peering out of the same cupboard in wonderment. One can’t deny the mischievous glint in his eye. Also, don’t miss the kiss in the teaser! The movie is set to release on May 30th. Fans couldn’t have asked for a better summer release.
