New Delhi, February 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday night landed at the Abu Dhabi International Airport, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which is home for over two million Indian diasporas.
This is PM Modi’s second visit after August 2015. In Abu Dhabi, PM Modi will lay the foundation of the first Hindu temple. As Emirates gears to welcome PM Modi, a video of its Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is being re-circulated on the social media.
The video shows Abu Dhabi Crown Prince attending a Ram Katha programme led by Morari Bapu. When the Crown Prince was invited on stage to share his views, he began his speech by greeting the audience with “Jai Siya Ram’. But two years after when PM Modi has reached again in Abu Dhabi, the video had gone viral.
PM Modi on Sunday morning will lay the foundation stone for a new temple for the Hindu community living in the UAE. It will be the first temple that will be built in Abu Dhabi.
At present, the UAE has only one Hindu temple and that is in Dubai. When PM Modi visited Abu Dhabi in 2015, the UAE government had announced the allocation of 20,000 square metres of land in Abu Dhabi to build a temple.
The construction of temple will be completed by 2020. Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) will manage the temple.
