Kohli though, would be disappointed to miss out on yet another ODI hundred.
However, with Kohli, there's always something to savour. And that moment in the ODI being played at the bullring arrived in 17th over, when Kohli smashed Lungi Ngidi for a glorious straight six.
It was a shot played for the cameras as the 29-year-old clobbered the ball with all his force over the bowler's head.
The shot was played on the third ball of the over, when Kohli walked down to drive the ball on the up to hit it straight beyond the sight screen.
The incredible shot drew rave reviews on social media from fans and experts.

Something to savour everyday with Virat. The six down the ground, the flick with the back foot up in the air....the timing of the assault....

I reckon that Virat Kohli straight six off Ngidi will become part of cricketing folklore like Sachin's six off Kasprowicz in Sharjah. Unbelievable shot from an extraordinary player.

The Indian captain got out for 75 after stitching a partnership of 158 runs for the second wicket with opener Shikhar Dhawan, who went on to score his 13th ODI hundred.
The 29-year-old captain is the leading run-scorer in this series with 393 runs in four matches with two hundreds and a fifty so far. He powered India to victory in the third ODI by scoring an unbeaten 160, which was his 34th hundred in the format and 14th while batting first.
"Kohli is a treat to watch. At times when you do think or imagine if I was young and playing against Virat Kohli where would I bowl and I do feel it would be a bit difficult to bowl at him. It doesn't matter what sort of pitch it is because he is a complete player. I think in world cricket after Sachin Tendulkar, it's his turn now," former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram recently told India Today in an exclusive chat.
