In a major recruitment drive, the Railway Recruitment Board is seeking to fill 62,907 vacancies in various posts, a DNA report said. Candidates have to apply on the official website before 12 March.

According to The Indian Express, the vacancies are for the posts of Track Maintainer Grade IV (Trackman), Gangman, Pointsman, Switchman, helpers in electrical/ engineering/ mechanical/ signal and telecommunication department, and porters.

Candidates can fill the registration forms on the official websites of their respective Railway Recruitment Boards.
Who is eligible?
The age limit for applying is 18 to 31 years. For candidates from the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, there is five-year relaxation in the upper age limit, while for Other Backward Caste candidates, the relaxation is of three years.
Pay scale
The pay will on Level 1 of the Central Pay Commission Matrix. The initial salary will be Rs 18,000, with other allowances admissible at the time of recruitment.
Selection process
The first stage will be a computer-based test (CBT). The candidates who qualify in the CBT will be asked to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). According to the RRB notification, marks will be normalised in the CBT.
