Six madrasa students sustained burn injuries following an electric transformer blast in Bangsal area in old part of Dhaka on Saturday.
Five of the injured were identified as Ashik, 7, Mustakin, 8, Abdur Rahman, 8, Jabed, 7, and Salman, 7. They were admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) .
The explosion occurred around 8:30am near Mohammadia Islamia Hafijia Madrasa, leaving five students injured, sources in the madrasa said.
DMCH police outpost sub-inspector Bacchu Mia said some parts of bodies of the injured were burnt but they are now out of danger.
