‘Padmaavat effects two other films’, says Manoj Bajpayee

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat finally released on January 25.

However, it’s release affected two other films who chose to shift their release in order to allow a clean run for the period epic.

Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Padman’ ended up releasing on February 9 while Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary will release on February 16.

Manoj Bajpayee, who stars in Aiyaary along with Sidharth Malhotra spoke about the issue against ‘Padmaavat’.

He said, “It was ‘Padmaavat’s’ disadvantage that they had to go through a lot in terms of threat and intimidation. That was sad and tragic, and it should not have happened. They got dragged into it with no fault of theirs.”

“But if you look at the advantage, since the controversy didn’t cease to die, the film became the talk of the town.”
