A turtle is considered as good luck symbol in South Korea. The turtle has been shown playing the snow game.

The logo has been shown as double-lined  capital letters in white-colour to give an appearance of snow and the white background  behind the turtle as three trees in green.

In the doodle of today the determined looking turtle has been shown sliding and spinning down to win the first place in the snow game.

The dynamic doodles will keep on appearing as a series the games advance. According to the Google blog, a series of 17  doodles will be carried out  during the on-going Winter Olympics from February 9 to 25

 The Winter Olympics opened with a gala ceremony and  in a spirit of rapprochement as the two Korean teams marched together.

 On the opening day  Google remarked that 'new friendships are bound to crystallize before the end of the games' despite the completion and which side wins.

 In the Olympics Winter Games 2018 over 2,000 athletes representing 92 countries at 102 events across 15 sports.
