Manisha Keer, the talented player of Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy will represent the Indian team in two international games. She will be participating in the ISSF Junior World Cup and International Junior Shotgun Cup.
It is to be noted that Manisha participated in the selection trial of both the international championships. The selection trial was held in New Delhi from January 27 till February 7 wherein Manisha showcased a wonderful performance. Exhibiting an impressive show, she secured first position with 91.33 points as she performed well at Woman Junior Team Event.
The ISSF Junior World Cup will be held from March 17 to 29 in Sydney and International Junior Shotgun Cup will be played from May 16 till 20 in Porpetto, Italy.
On the selection of Manisha Keer, State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia and Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Upendra Jain have congratulated her and gave her the best wishes for the selection.
While expressing her deep contentment over the success of the players, Yashodhara Raje Scindia said, “Daughters of state are bringing laurel to State, country and Academy continuously from International sports competitions.”
Elaborating further, she said, “We are proud of our players as they have put in great efforts and glorified the name of State at international platform.” She also wished he luck for their future endeavours and said that they should maintain their success in coming championships as well.
It may be mentioned that Manisha Keer, a player of Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy, has earned a gold, a silver and two bronze medals in international competitions and 28 medals including 20 gold, one silver and three bronze in national competitions.
