OPS’s ‘Dharma Yudham’ a mere pretension: TTV

TRICHY: The so-called 'Dharma Yudham' (War of Dharma), termed by the Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, was mere a 'Dubakur' (pretense), RK Nagar MLA and the AIADMK faction leader TTV Dhinakaran said.

When asked by the reporters in Thanjavur here on Saturday on O Panneerselvam's statement that his 'Dharma Yudham' was successful since the two warring factions came together after the Mannargudi family has been kept out, Dhinakaran said, "It was not a Dharma Yudham, but a mere pretension which was executed by him for a political gain".

It is noted that O Panneerselvam had earlier asserted that his 'Dharma Yudham' was successful since the two warring factions came together after the Mannargudi family has been kept out.

Dhinakaran alleged that there was a widespread irregularity in the appointment of noon meal workers in Thanjavur district. Since some officials were also reportedly involved in the scam, he warned that the district collector too may have to be answered for this.

He reiterated that the sleeper cells would emerge only at the time of no-confidence motion in the assembly and that the present government in Tamil Nadu has been functioning as another branch of Bharatiya Janata Party.

"There were a number of projects that had been stalled. This apart, police have started to arrest my supporters in false cases. All this was happening only because of the people from RK Nagar who cast their votes in favour of him," Dhinakaran said.

"Number of ongoing projects which were announced by the late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in RK Nagar have been stalled abruptly, only because they voted for me", he alleged.
