A portrait of former Chief Minister and AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa will be unveiled in the Assembly on February 12.
Speaker P. Dhanapal will unveil the portrait, in the presence of Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam.
The invite for the event has been sent to each MLA, according to a release issued by Assembly Secretary K. Boopathy.
It may be noted that Mr. Palaniswami had, in May last year, invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the unveiling of Jayalalithaa’s portrait in the State Assembly.
