Infrastructure development, introduction and extension of trains and issues concerning passenger amenities at various stations under Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway (SER) came up for discussion at a meeting of the 15-member Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) held at the railway headquarters in Chakradharpur on Friday.
Chakradharpur divisional railway manager Chatrasal Singh, who is also the chairman of the committee, presided over the meeting that began at 11am and continued for over two hours. Several senior officials of the division, including senior divisional commercial manager Bhaskar, were present.
Rajesh Garg, a DRUCC member and general secretary of Rourkela Chamber of Commerce and Industry, demanded resumption of services of Rourkela-Koraput Express that had been suspended in August 2017. He also appealed for the extension of the Ranchi-New Delhi Garib Rath Express till Rourkela. Read More…
