Imphal missionary schools reopen amid threats

A few missionary schools reopened in on Thursday amidst tight security after reports of threats from groups forced them to remain shut for two days.

"We have deployed adequate security around the immediate campus of the schools, using various methods of surveillance," said Deputy general of police (DIG), SP West.

Earlier, two blasts had taken place inside Rifles Transit Camp near in West district.

Nine security personnel had suffered injuries on Tuesday in the blasts.

An investigation is on in the matter.
