After being discontinued when the new BS IV emission norms came into effect, Yamaha India has now launched a souped up 2018 Yamaha YZF-R3 in India at the ongoing Auto Expo 2018.

2018 Yamaha YZF R3
The new YZF-R3 is priced Rs 22,000 more than the previous model which brings its new price to Rs 3.48 lakh.
While the price has gone up, Yamaha has done new YZF-R3 justice by offering a few upgrades that should make it attractive to consumers looking for a sports bike in the 400 cc segment.
According to Overdrive, Yamaha has added the much-needed dual channel ABS and even fitted better Metzeler Interact M5 tyres that should complete the package, making the R3 good enough to compete with rivals like KTM's RC 390, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Benelli 302R.

2018 Yamaha YZF R3
The 2018 Yamaha YZF-R3 is powered by a BS IV compliant 321 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that churns out 42 PS of power and 30 Nm of peak torque. The engine is coupled to a six-speed transmission sits above the recently launched YZF-R15 motorcycle.
The YZF-R3 will be available in Yamaha Racing Blue, and Magma Black.
