The New York Times Co. (NYT) reported fourth quarter EPS of $0.39 Thursday morning, up from $0.30 a year ago. Analysts expected EPS of $0.29.
The New York Times climbed until around 1:00PM Thursday, before profit taking set in. Shares finished with a gain of 2.25 at $24.40 on strong volume. The stock broke out of a 2-week trading range and set a new high for the year.
