District Magistrate Pauri Sushil Kumar instructed the departments to ensure transparency and quality of work in the execution of the development projects while monitoring the progress of the district plan, State-sponsored projects, implementation of the Centrally aided schemes and those being financed by external agencies in Pauri on Thursday.
DM said that the amount provided for the district plan for the year 2017-18 is Rs 84.25 crore while the district has so far received Rs 60 core. From the amount received Rs 53.43 crore has been distributed among different departments according to the district plan and the departments have so far spent Rs 29.37 crore. As far as the externally aided schemes are concerned, the released amount is Rs 10.46 crore out of the proposed amount of Rs 11.07 crore and Rs 7.76 crore has been spent so far. DM directed the departments to spend the allotted budget of the plans before the end of financial year. It must be written here that transparency and quality are necessary in any kind of work.

He instructed PMGSY to fulfil the target of NRLM and the social welfare department to complete programmes meant for the welfare of the Scheduled Caste people before the end of the financial year. DM asked the Ayurvedic department to organise health camps and asked Jal Nigam to complete the schemes it is working on. He laid emphasis on cluster farming and instructed the tourism department to conduct rafting training under adventure tourism in coordination with GMVN. The sports department has been instructed to build a synthetic court in the indoor stadium.
Among the officers who attended the meeting were the chief development officer Ravneet Chima, Chief Treasury officer Lakhendra Gothiyal, CMO Dr R S Rana, DDO Ved Prakash and the district education officer Hareram Yadav.
