Indian icon Sachin Tendulkar heaped praise on wife Anjali for raising their two kids, Sara and Arjun, at a time when both were prospering in their careers. "As far as parenting is concerned, all credit goes to Anjali. We were both doing well in our respective careers and that's when she decided to give up her promising future to raise the kids.

I have openly thanked her on many occasions, but today, I would like to thank her in front of the medical fraternity for everything that she has done," said Tendulkar after Anjali launched a book 'Even When There Is A Doctor', written by Dr Y Amdekar, Dr RR Chokhani and S Krishnan at MIG Cricket Club in Bandra yesterday.

"I grew up hearing the phrase, 'An apple a day keeps the doctor away'. But today I can say that I prefer an apple with a doctor besides me," Tendulkar said. His comment left the audience in splits.
