Rehab board retains Alina as head

Panaji: The state government has reconstituted the Goa Rehabilitation Board and retained Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha as chairperson. Saldanha, a forest minister in the previous BJP government, doesn't hold a berth in the current cabinet. The board's vice-chairman is former superintendent of police Apa Teli, from Pernem.

The newly-appointed members are Rajesh Kavlekar, sarpanch of Kavlem, Mohan Kaisuvkar from Porvorim, Nandita Dayal from Cortalim, Girish Uskaikar from St Cruz, Santosh Kerkar from Dabolim, finance secretary or his nominee not below the rank of under-secretary, secretary (revenue), collector (north), collector (south). The secretary of the board will act as ex-officio member secretary, the notification stated.
