No Mercy VII Feb. 10 at Shooting Star

Driller Fights is back with three professional and eight amateur fights at No Mercy VII Saturday, Feb. 10 at Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen.

It will be the second straight Mixed Martial Arts night of action-packed fights in Mahnomen. The inaugural show took place there September 30 and was completely sold out.

The No Mercy VII fight card is highlighted by a Middleweight Title fight between former University of Minnesota Wrestler Joel Bauman (4-0) taking on Manatua Lemaire (4-0). This battle of top undefeated amateurs has been a long time in the making. Lemaire from Aneta, North Dakota, has won all of his fights in the first round via vicious first round knockouts. Bauman has been anointed a top prospect and is the current Caged Aggression champion. This is arguably the top amateur fight of 2018.

The professional card is topped with a fantastic Main Event featuring two of the best Bantamweights in the Midwest. Fergus Falls’ Jesse Wannemacher (3-1) takes on Milwaukee’s Ode Osbourne (4-2). Wannemacher was a top amateur boxer before making the move to MMA and is taking on his toughest test yet in Osbourne, who comes from the top gym in the country, Roufusport Mixed Martial Arts Academy in Milwaukee, the home of two UFC World Champions.

The night’s co-Main features wrestling standout Collin Huckbody (2-1) from Nevis, taking on Chicago’s Ryot Waller (2-3), a former Driller amateur champion. Waller also has a professional win in Glory Kickboxing.

The featured professional fight of the night features the two top amateur Featherweights in Minnesota turning pro against each other in Charles Anozie (9-4) taking on St. Cloud’s Tyler Mathison (5-1).

Bemidji is represented on the card with former state runner-up wrestler Noah Landrus (2-0), Keefer Bender (1-0) and Daniel Loeken (1-0). Two ladies from St Cloud will be taking off as Megan Stein makes her debut against once-beaten Katie Koenig. Two fighters are also fighting out of Thief River Falls in Noah Hawkins and Chris Renwick and Hunter Pederson is the lone representative of Fargo.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and fights begin at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets start at $35 and are available at www.starcasino.com

The event will also be streamed live on www.flocombat.com
