A few sprinkles may yet crest the Coast Range and try to dampen the dust in the valleys. But we’re already seeing breaks in the clouds, and the trend overnight will be for clearing.

With clearing, fog will be quick to form in the western valleys, and may become dense again for morning commuters. Low temperatures are again headed for about 40-degrees.

After the morning fog, Friday will turn partly sunny and pleasant. Look for highs in the low 50s.

Colder air seeps into the area Friday night. With a clearing sky and a developing east wind, that sets the stage for a couple of cold mornings over the weekend. Lows will dip into the low 30s for our coldest temperatures since just after New Year’s Day.

After a sunny Saturday, a new storm comes in in from the Northwest. It’s possible that the snow level will be as low as 1,000 feet, for a little snow on top of the hills, Sunday morning. No accumulations are expected.

The rest of Sunday will be rainy, with mountain snow, probably 3-6 inches on Mt Hood.

Clouds break up Monday and Tuesday looks sunny and pleasant after morning fog.

In fact, other than the chance of a few showers Wednesday, next week looks dry and mild. Thursday will likely be the warmest and sunniest day.

Enjoy the weather.
