No. 3 Official at Department of Justice ResignsThe third person in charge at the Justice Department, Rachel Brand, announced plans to step down after only nine months on the job at the United States' top law enforcement agency amid ongoing attacks from President Donald Trump, according to The New York Times. Brand had been getting more attention since she is next in line behind deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein, who is currently overseeing the special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian influence in the 2016 election. Trump has repeatedly called the investigation a witch hunt and previous reports said that Trump was even thinking about firing Rosenstein as a way to exert more influence over Mueller's investigation....
