Former S Club 7 star Paul Cattermole has left his fans in tears after discussing his life living on the breadline.

The 40-year-old singer, revealed that he has fallen on hard times and has been experiencing money problems since being declared bankrupt in 2015, the Daily Mail reports.

Last month, Cattermole attempted to ease his financial struggles, by selling off a framed presentation platinum sales award from New Zealand on eBay. He also tried to sell his BRIT Award but revealed he was unsuccessful.

Now, in an interview with Loose Women, the star revealed the extent of his financial woes, saying he's been forced to live off instant noodles and beg reality TV producers for work.

S Club 7 - formed of Paul, Tina Barrett, Rachel Stevens, Jo O'Meara, Hannah Spearritt, Bradley McIntosh and Jon Lee - split in 2003, following "creative differences".

Since then, Paul has mainly stayed out of the limelight but revealed he is desperate to appear on reality television. He confessed that although he has approached producers of Dancing On Ice, Celebrity Big Brother and Strictly Come Dancing, "for some reason they don't want me".

He added that he had been making ends meet by taking odd jobs and wouldn't be adverse to doing something such as "delivering pizza" for a living.

As he admitted that he has been reduced to living off instant noodles, Jane Moore revealed the show had to buy Paul his shirt to wear on the programme. She said: "You literally didn't have the money to buy the shirt on your back. How has it got that bad?"

Paul skated around the issue as he explained: "Last year, there's something that I can't really discuss that happened so it's a big tricky. But I've had an injury, so that's what's happened in the last year that's made it very difficult."

In October 2014, it was confirmed that the original S Club 7 lineup would reunite for the first time in over a decade for BBC Children in Need, and later announced a UK reunion tour.

However, Paul admitted: "When we did the 2015 S Club tour I went bankrupt and I had to give all that money back. So I had to give all my money for that tour to pay that bill off, so I had to do the next job that came in which was Rocky Horror. S Club might have done something else if I wasn't pushed into that position."
