Personal rivalry leads to barbaric murder in Hunsur

In a barbaric murder in Hunsur's Ranganatha layout, the victim's mutilated body was found in the open space behind the higher primary school on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Bellulli Mahesh (45), a resident of the layout. The assailants have severed his neck and genitals.
The body was discovered by locals on Friday morning and brought to the notice of the police.
Police suspect that the murder has occurred on Thursday night and that the motive behind the murder is personal rivalry.
Circle Inspector Poovaiah and team visited the crime scene and investigations are on.
Mahesh's body has been shifted to the taluk hospital morgue for post-mortem.
