MOST ACCURATE FORECAST: Cool-down still in sight

PHOENIX - It's another warm week in the Valley of the Sun.

High pressure is still anchored off the west coast, keeping Valley highs in the upper 70s to low 80s each afternoon this week.

The mornings will be chilly, dropping into the 40s and low 50s each day.

All eyes are on the weekend and our extended forecast as we track changes that could finally bring us some cooler weather.

Forecast models still show a disturbance moving into our state this weekend, but this system now looks to only bring minimal impacts to our state.

A cold front sweeps across on Saturday bringing a slight chance of showers to northern Arizona and another round of breezes.

The Valley now looks to stay dry through the weekend. Instead, a second storm system will move into our state sometime Tuesday through Wednesday. This could bring us a few Valley showers and some higher elevation snow.

It still looks like we'll finally catch a break from the 80s starting Sunday, with Valley highs dropping into the low to mid 70s through the middle of next week.

There is still a lot of uncertainty on exactly how everything will shape up, so stay tuned and we'll keep you posted as we get closer.
