The Russian Ministry of Communications and Mass Media has announced that more than 66 million residents across the country have an account on the unified electronic ID and authorisation system. The figure grew by more than 66 percent in 2017. Around 2 million users registered on the system monthly in 2017.

The ministry said 95.5 percent of residents have accounts in the Nenets region, as do 93.5 percent of people in the Republic of Tuva.

The system is the single point enabling the public to reach more than 4,000 governmental and commercial online portals.
