Peoria man nabbed in meth bust in Quincy

QUINCY — A Peoria man out on parole after a methamphetamine possession conviction was arrested again on similar charges Wednesday.

Anthony E. Buckner, 40, of 3007 N. Mission Road in Peoria was arrested along with a woman, Selena A. Stead, 44, at Stead's hotel room residence in Quincy after authorities executed a search warrant there. Both were held on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, officials at the West Central Illinois Task Force said in a news release.

Buckner was sentenced to two years and three months in prison last September on a previous meth charge, but was out on parole, the release said. Stead is out on bond on a separate case in which she is charged with unlawful delivery and unlawful possession of meth last July.
