SAMBA: Beopar Mandal helds a protest against the district administration Samba and blocked Jammu Pathankot National Highway for about three hours over the issue of installed traffic cones on National Highway at Main Chowk Samba on Friday.
The protest was held under the leadership of Tejinder Singh President Beopar Association Samba whereas Shiv Sena State Vice President Ramesh Gupta, Senior NC Leader Chander Udhay Singh, PDP Senior Leader Pawan Dev Singh and Sandeep Sharma Congress Young Leader were also present.
According to the report, a large number of shopkeepers assembled in Main Chowk Samba and blocked Jammu Pathankot National Highway. They raised slogans against the district administration Samba and demanded immediately removal the barricades from Chowk. They also alleged that few days ago they met District Magistrate Samba and requested for the removal the barricades from middle in the Chowk but nothing has been done in this regard so far.
After receipt the information ASP Samba and ACR Samba Wasim Raja reached the spot and pacified the protesters. On assurance of ASP and ACR protesters lifted Dharna.n NHW
