AWS Direct Connect adds locations in Paris and Taipei

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has added a new Direct Connect site in Paris, at Equinix PA3, and has also launched its first Direct Connect site in Taiwan, located in the capital Taipei at Chief Telecom LY. Using Direct Connect, customers can establish a dedicated network connection between AWS and their data centre, office, or colocation environment.

In December 2017, AWS announced the opening of a new region in France, located in Paris, joining its existing European regions in Germany, Ireland, and the UK.
