SRINAGAR: To promote sports culture among the youth, Jammu and Kashmir Police organised sports events under Civic Action Programme in Handwara, Awantipora and Srinagar.
The sports event in Handwara was inaugurated by SSP Handwara Ghulam Jeelani Wani in the presence of SHO Vilgam Bashir Ahmad.
The sports event in Awantipora was inaugurated by DySP DAR DPL Awantipora Shahzada Kabir Matoo.
In Srinagar, the sports event was organized by Police Station Nowhatta which was inaugurated by SDPO Khanyar Raja Zuhaib.
Hundreds of youth & students of respective areas of these districts participated enthusiastically in knock-out tournaments of carrom, volleyball, kho-kho, badminton, chess, table tennis and kabaddi. The participants were encouraged by the chairing officers, besides, winners and runner ups were suitably awarded.
